Gas Injection Type Support Plate

Gas Injection Type Support Plates are specially engineered column internals installed at the bottom of packed beds to perform two critical functions:

  • Structural support of random or structured packings, and
  • Uniform injection and distribution of process gas into the packed bed.

These gas injection support plate and gas injection type support plate systems are designed using process hydraulic calculations to ensure even gas velocity distribution across the column cross-section. Random Packings

Random Packings are loose-filled internals designed to increase effective surface area and turbulence within the column, thereby enhancing gas–liquid mass transfer.
